Here at OzLeisure.com.au we are always trying to keep the website evolving, and to that end we like to continually improve the website
in an effort to make it easier to use and provide more of the content that you all want to see.
At the moment we have just started on a new design for the website which we are aiming to release in Septemer which will be almost exactly a year
since we did the last redesign of the site, which has been very well received by the public. We hope that the new design will be even better.
You can see a small sneak-peek at the design that we are planning to the left, and you will see straightaway that we are planning on going for a
very simple design that matches the current "web 2.0" trend. The new design should make information far easier to find, and the pages much easier
to read and be easier on-the-eye. We hope you like it, and we cannot wait until it is ready for everyone to see, we are very excited about it.
With the new design of the site coming along, this is your chance to let us know what you would like to see on it. The main purpose
of the OzLeisure.com.au website is to make information available to visitors, so who better to tell us what to show than the people
that use the site. That's you guys.
So, if you have a suggestion for the new site, please drop us an e-mail with your idea and if we
can make it happen, and it will prove to be popular, then we will do our best to make it happen for you.
To get you started, here are a few of the suggestions that we have received recently that will make their way into the new site:
- Searching by map. All activities will be shown on an interactive map so that you can drill-down to WHERE you want to go, and see what we have in that area
- Improved searching. At the moment, the search system is keyword only but we shall be enhancing that to include a number of search criteria such as category, facilities, CBD/Regional location etc
- Online polls
- Bigger fonts that are easier to read
- High resolution images for activities
There are many more exciting additionals that we have in the development queue - we hope that they will all be very well received. They are certainly innovative. Enjoy.
We have just finished recording and producing the June edition of OzLeisure Grapvine, and it is now available at the OzLeisure Grapevine showpage so please check it out.
This month, Greg is talking about how to cellar wines and the differences between Stelvin (screw) caps and corks as well as the normal bunch of top tips.
The show now sports the new theme music recorded specially by Geoff Smith.
