This is the Tumut region and it is truly diverse with the towns of Adelong, Batlow, Talbingo and Tumut, from mountain streams to rolling valleys, you can catch a trout, climb a mountain, explore caves, take a drive or just relax and stay awhile. With Kosciuszko National Park and the beauty of the Snowy Mountains and Australia's high country on our doorstep it is the perfect place to start your mountain holiday. It is all here for you to explore, so take a break, catch up with a mate and experience the country hospitality that is the Tumut Region.
The Tumut Region is one of Australia's best kept secrets with the locals and some travel wise tourists having had it all to them selves for too long. It's time to experience something new, something exciting and above all it is time to experience the many wonders of the Tumut Region.
Tumut Region Visitor Centre is jointly funded by the Tumut Shire Council and the National Parks and Wildlife Service. This great facility is available to all that require information on the Tumut Region and Kosciuszko National Park; no matter if you are a local or a visitor to our region we are here to assist you.
